Her ethereal arrangement of the song can now be found on all music platforms and she’s is now gearing up for the music video on YouTube on September 3, 2021. About her debut single, Young Shadow said: “My song is about craving change and letting go of societal expectations. I find it empowering to take risks in my music. As a result, I’m empowered to take risks in my life. The song’s arrangement is an act of creative rebellion—I find freedom by melting together genres and instruments in unconventional ways.”

About her music video for ‘Waiting,’ she said: “It was necessary to self-produce the video so I could have full creative control and convey my surreal experience of reality. The video is packed with symbolism and meaning. I wanted to go even deeper with the idea of communicating and thinking in unconventional ways so I used American Sign Language as the choreography. We all think, speak, and create uniquely. Our uniqueness is our greatest strength and I wanted to highlight the limitless creative potential that results from our diversity.”
